The lush and baroque compositions of American bandleader Ray Conniff are collected in this album titled after his greatest hit Somewhere My Love which had lyrics set to music from Dr. Zhivago. The rest of the album takes a nod from this and are mostly covers of songs from cinematic spectacles such as My Fair Lady and Charade.
