The Nana Juniper is an evergreen ground cover with a spreading low-growing growth habit. This Juniper is often used in landscapes planted on slopes along retaining walls between larger plants and as a spreading ground cover. This plant is also often selected to create bonsai. When planting this Juniper select a location that receives full sun to partial shade dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil then leave the top of the root ball a half inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in spring and water regularly.
