The Sweet Olive Osmanthus is a large flowering ornamental evergreen shrub that can also be trained into a small tree. In Spring the Sweet Olive will produce showy and sweetly-fragrant small white blooms. When planting this Osmanthus dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil then leave the top of the root ball a half inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in Spring.
