Daffodils (botanically called Narcissus) are long term perennials and make for great companions to other bulbs annuals and all sorts of shrubs. They accent most any garden and are an inexpensive solution to adding color to your garden. They are relatively pest free and deer will not eat them. Daffodil classifications are divided into 13 divisions according to their flower shape and heritage by the American Daffodil Society. They do well throughout most of the U.S. if there is a discernible winter. Golden Bells is also known as a Jonquil daffodil and Yellow hoop Petticoat. Amazingly there can be as many as 15 stems per single bulb. The blooms are cupped large and bell shaped. The flowers are fragrant and known for their scent.
