The existing clamp knob s brass threads stripped off (stainless bolt and clamp were fine) so it needed to be replaced. The original had a longer shaft than this replacement. This made no difference. There is still plenty of room to turn the knob. This was for the clamp on the energy bowl window of the pump. There is a similar knob for the clamp holding the impeller housing together. It would work there too. Appears to have the same plastic and brass construction. - SKU: BAYST12470
