ZZ Plant is one of the easiest houseplants you can grow. ZZ Plant excels in low-light conditions so it’s ideal for any home or office. Few houseplants are as tough as ZZ Plant. First discovered in Eastern Africa in the 1800s it wasn’t until recently that it became super popular. ZZ Plant can tolerate almost any light conditions and will even be happy kept solely under fluorescent lights which is why it makes a great office plant. ZZ Plant likes a drink whenever the soil dries out but it can go long periods without water. A great plant for homes and offices! ZZ Plant is an ideal houseplant for any home apartment or office. Because this houseplant can tolerate low light it excels in office cubicles. Recent studies prove that keeping plants in your office space makes you more productive. ZZ Plant adds instant vibrancy to any style of indoor décor. CARE FOR YOUR ZZ PLANT IS EASY: Light: Grow ZZ Plant in medium indirect light. Some plants may burn if placed in direct sunlight. Water: ZZ Plant likes to be watered once every 2 weeks with about 1 cup. The frequency of watering may change depending on your plant s pot size how much light it gets and the temperature of the environment. Feeding: Use a 20-20-20 houseplant food at half strength once a month during spring and summer Pruning/Shaping: Cut back the stems at any time during spring or early summer when the begonia is in its active growth cycle. Trim back the tall stems by up to two-thirds their height. The begonia will produce new leaves from the base of the cane. Annual pruning maintains these begonias at the desired height while forcing a flush of fuller foliage growth. Repotting: Repot your plants when they become root bound. (A houseplant is root bound when roots appear in the soil or begin to escape through drain holes in the pot bottom.) Never repot houseplants using soil from your yard. Outdoor Options: Can grow outdoors year-round as landscaping plants or in containers if protected from winter temperatures. PLANT SAFETY: Not intended for human or animal consumption.
