While vintage monolithic riffing is the name of the game here ex-Killswitch Engage singer Jesse David Leach follows in the footsteps of many modern day metal vocalists -- melodic singing alternates with hardcore-esque screaming. Tracks such as Cast No Shadow and Eyes of a Child follow this aforementioned formula while The Deep Below takes things down a notch momentarily (bringing to mind when Pantera would do the same thing check This Love from Vulgar Display of Power).
