Even though the Lizzie McGuire show finished and the movie was released well before Lizzie McGuire: Total Party! came out the album showed that both Disney -- as well as the show s fans -- wanted still more Lizzie and Lizzie-related music. Though this album doesn t include any songs by Hilary Duff tracks such as Theme to Lizzie McGuire make it pretty darn close to a total Lizzie McGuire party. This collection features better-quality teen pop than most Disney-related albums including Hoku s flawlessly frothy Perfect Day [Sunshine Mix] and Pink s Get the Party Started [Radio Disney Edit]. Other perennial teen pop faves such as the A-Teens B*Witched and Vitamin C do their shiny perky pop thing on Dancing Queen C Est la Vie and Smile. Atomic Kitten and Kool & the Gang s duet on Ladies Night Nine Days anthemic Us Against the World and 3LW s urban/teen pop fusion No More (Baby I ma Do Right) help round out the festivities. Lizzie McGuire: Total Party! also includes three karaoke instrumentals including one of Duff s I Can t Wait. The collection is solid enough that it could almost double as an alternate history of teen pop divorced of its Britney and Christina-sized mega-stars.
