Sedum spurium, Fuldaglut, Stonecrop: This mat-forming, low-ground, maroon-leafed stonecrop cultivar has creeping, branching stems that root at the nodes.'Fuldaglut' grows up to 3-inches tall, but spreads 18-inches side. In August, small, star-shaped, rose-red flowers will bloom. They look beautiful alongside the thick, succulent, toothy, maroon leaves. The leaves are colorful and attractive throughout the growing season. 'Fuldaglut' grows easily in average, dry to medium moisture. It needs well-drained soil and full sun, but can tolerate some light shade. Avoid overwatering this drought-tolerant plant. Should be planted 12-inches apart when grown as a groundcover. You can easily propagate it by cuttings or division. If planted in a miniature outdoor garden or container, it will need regular pruning.
