White Mulberry Tree - Morus Alba - Live Plant - Feed Silk Worms While the tree is called White because of the color of the blooms but the tree also produces white berries. In the wild it produces berries that can be deep purple but in many cultivated plants it varies from white to pink to dark red to even black. White mulberry fruits are generally very sweet but often lack the tartness of the other two Mulberries. The white mulberry tree is quite tolerant of drought pollution and poor soil and is the most cold-hardy of the three species Red White and Black and is able to go down to sub freezing temperatures. The white mulberry tree is primarily cultivated in Southeast Asia for raising silkworms. Reptile owners use it to feed their silkworms which in turn feed their reptiles.
